秘鲁是最早同新中国建交、最早同中国建立全面战略伙伴关系的拉美国家之一，也是最早同中国签署一揽子自由贸易协定的拉美国家。自2019年中秘两国签署共建“一带一路”合作谅解备忘录以来，两国共建“一带一路”合作成果丰硕，在经贸、金融、人文等领域合作日益密切。
Peru is one of the earliest Latin American countries to establish diplomatic relations with the People's Republic of China, establish comprehensive strategic partnerships with China, and sign a package of free trade agreements with China. Since the signing of the memorandum of understanding on the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" in 2019, the two countries have achieved fruitful cooperation in the joint construction of the "Belt and Road", and increasingly closer cooperation in economic, trade, finance, and cultural fields.
