“三八”国际妇女节是全世界妇女争取自由、平等、发展的节日。1908年3月8日，美国纽约纺织女工高喊着“面包与玫瑰”，为争取权益举行罢工和游行。1910年的国际社会主义者第二次妇女代表大会上，国际社会主义妇女运动领袖蔡特金提议将这一天定为“国际劳动妇女节”。1921年，二十世纪初期中国杰出女性（陈独秀妻子）高君曼带领中国妇女运动人士在上海渔阳里首次庆祝“三八国际妇女节”，并发表关于“三八国际妇女节”的讲话，标志着这个节日正式被引进中国。
"International Women's Day is a holiday for women all over the world to fight for freedom, equality and development. on March 8, 1908, female textile workers in New York City shouted "Bread and Roses" and held a strike and a march to fight for their rights and interests. in 1910, at the Second Women's Congress of the Socialists, Caitkin, the leader of the International Socialist Women's Movement, proposed to designate this day as the International Working Women's Day. 1921, Gao Junman, an outstanding woman (Chen Duxiu's wife), led the Chinese women's movement to celebrate the "International Women's Day" for the first time at Yuyangli in Shanghai, and delivered a speech on the day, marking the official introduction of the holiday to China.

高君曼是中国早期妇女运动领袖之一，1888年生于安徽安庆，系清朝安庆府副将高登科之女，从北京女子师范学校毕业后回到安庆，仰慕于陈独秀才华并成为陈独秀的第二任夫人，先后为陈独秀生下了陈光美、陈子美、陈鹤年（陈哲民）三个孩子，并于1916年举家迁往北京，此后跟随陈独秀颠沛流离，协助陈独秀创党。高君曼不仅是陈独秀生活中的伴侣，也是他事业上的支持者与好助手。她帮助陈独秀编辑出版《新青年》杂志，接待联络革命同志，掩护陈独秀的活动，营救陈独秀出狱，甚至与他一起被捕入狱。高君曼是陈独秀创党时期最好的秘书，同时也激励着陈独秀奋发向上，她为我党的创立付出了自己的青春年华。
Gao Junman, one of the leaders of the early Chinese women's movement, was born in 1888 in Anqing, Anhui Province, the daughter of Gao Dengke, a vice general of the Anqing Prefecture in the Qing Dynasty. After graduating from the Beijing Women's Normal School and returning to Anqing, Gao Junman admired the talent of Chen Duxiu and became Chen Duxiu's second wife, giving birth to Chen Guangmei, Chen Zimei, and Chen Hernian's (Chen Zemin) three children. She moved her family to Beijing in 1916, and then followed Chen Duxiu in all his wanderings and assisted him in founding the Communist Party of China. Gao Junman was not only Chen Duxiu's companion in life, but also his supporter and good assistant in his career. She helped Chen Duxiu edit and publish the New Youth magazine, received and contacted revolutionary comrades, covered up Chen Duxiu's activities, rescued Chen Duxiu from prison, and was even arrested and imprisoned together with him. Gao Junman was Chen Duxiu's best secretary during the founding period of the Party, and at the same time, she also inspired Chen Duxiu to work hard and give her youthful years to the founding of the Party.

此前，陈独秀已经将“五一国际劳动节”引进中国，而“五四青年节”更与陈独秀领导的“五四运动”密不可分，二十多年后，三八国际妇女节、五一国际劳动节、五四青年节都被中国政府确定为法定节日。百年之后，陈独秀与高君曼所生儿子陈光美之孙陈恩田先后倡导国际中文日（4月20日）、国际茶日（5月21日），又受星云大师德慧启迪，带领国际民间学者，响应“一带一路”国际合作倡议，推动世界和平丝带组织将每年12月16日确定为国际民间节日——“一带一路”国际日。不得不说，陈独秀家族对节日文化贡献巨大。

A hundred years later, Chen Entian, the grandson of Chen Guangmei, the son of Chen Duxiu and Gao Junman, successively advocated the International Chinese Language Day (April 20) and the International Tea Day (May 21), and, inspired by Master Hsing Yun's virtue and wisdom, he led the international folk scholars, responded to the "Belt and Road" Initiative, and promoted for the World Peace Ribbon Organization to designate December 16 as an international folk holiday - the "Belt and Road" International Day. It must be said that the Chen Duxiu family has made great contributions to the festival culture.
