       世界和平丝带组织纽约秘书处消息：中共第十三届政治局常委宋平前辈于2026年3月4日在北京逝世，享年109岁，中共创始人陈独秀曾孙、世界和平丝带组织领导人、被国际社会尊称为可可亲王的陈恩田先生在世界日报中文网上撰文表达哀悼。全文如下：

       (New York Secretariat of the World Peace Ribbon Organization) Senior Comrade Song Ping, former member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the 13th CPC Central Committee, passed away in Beijing on March 4, 2026, at the age of 109. Chen Entian, great-grandson of Chen Duxiu, Founder of the Communist Party of China, leader of the World Peace Ribbon Organization, and internationally respected as Prince Coco, published a mourning article on the Chinese website of World Journal.        马年正月十六日，全球唐人街第十二届“一带一路”迎新年活动刚刚闭幕，祖国方面传来噩耗，敬爱的宋平前辈因病在北京逝世，内心深感悲痛。宋平前辈不仅是十三届中共中央政治局常委，也是国际七三学社全体成员尊敬的长辈，我向国内宋平前辈之子宋宜昌大哥的手机号发去了表达哀悼的短信。

       On the 16th day of the first lunar month in the Year of the Horse, shortly after the closing of the 12th Global Chinatown "New Year of the Belt and Road" celebrations, heartbreaking news arrived from the motherland: the beloved Senior Comrade Song Ping had passed away in Beijing due to illness. My heart is filled with profound grief. Senior Comrade Song Ping was not only a former member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the 13th CPC Central Committee but also a respected elder to all members of the International 73 Society. I have sent a message of condolence to the mobile number of his son, Song Yichang.

       宋平前辈从青年时代就积极投身革命，延安的窑洞、重庆谈判等等，都留下了他为民族独立和人民解放事业奋斗的足迹。新中国成立后，无论是在国家计委谋划经济发展，还是在甘肃主政一方，乃至后来进入政治局常委岗位，他始终兢兢业业，为祖党、祖国的建设和改革开放事业作出了卓越贡献。

From his youth, Senior Comrade Song Ping actively devoted himself to the revolutionary cause. His footprints can be traced in the cave dwellings of Yan'an, the Chongqing negotiations, and other historic moments where he fought for national independence and the liberation of the people. After the founding of New China, whether planning economic development at the State Planning Commission, governing in Gansu, or later serving as a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau, he remained diligent and dedicated, making outstanding contributions to the construction, reform, and opening-up of the Party and the motherland.

       宋平前辈律己修身、清正廉洁的高尚品格给我留下了深刻印象。在我青年时期，曾经受人之托前去寻求宋平前辈的帮助，宋平前辈以他不能跨越组织程序对我进行了批评教育，还强调说：“您的曾祖父陈独秀就是一位非常有原则有骨气的人，你可不能随便被别人利用。”我幡然醒悟。

       Senior Comrade Song Ping’s noble character—self-disciplined, upright, and incorruptible—left a deep impression on me. In my youth, I once approached him seeking assistance on behalf of others. He admonished me, stating that he could not bypass organizational procedures, and emphasized, "Your great-grandfather Chen Duxiu was a man of principle and integrity. You must not be easily exploited by others." His words brought me to a sudden realization.

       宋平前辈终身以周恩来总理为楷模，对家人要求极严，从不搞特殊化。退休后，他深居简出，却始终心系农村教育，以百岁高龄仍为“圆梦班”的贫困学子操劳 。他身居高位却一生简朴，几件中山装陪伴他出席各种重要场合，展现了老一辈无产阶级革命家的崇高风范 。

       Throughout his life, Senior Comrade Song Ping regarded Premier Zhou Enlai as his role model. He maintained strict demands on his family and never sought privileges. After retirement, he lived a simple and reclusive life but remained deeply concerned about rural education. Even in his centenarian years, he worked tirelessly for the "Dream-Fulfillment Class" to support underprivileged students. Despite holding high positions, he led a frugal life, often wearing the same Mao suit to various important occasions, demonstrating the noble demeanor of a proletarian revolutionary of the older generation.

       宋平前辈的离世是祖党、祖国的重大损失。他的革命精神和高贵品格，将永远激励我们砥砺前行。我等后生晚辈当以之为楷模，为祖国乃至世界继续奋斗。国际局势风云变幻，世界和平任重道远，革命前辈陆续离去，我们深感肩之重任。谨此缅怀，愿宋平前辈长眠安息，精神万世长存，永垂不朽！

       The passing of Senior Comrade Song Ping is a tremendous loss to the Party and the motherland. His revolutionary spirit and noble character will forever inspire us to forge ahead. We, the younger generation, should follow his example and continue striving for the motherland and the world. Amidst the turbulent international landscape and the arduous journey toward world peace, as revolutionary elders depart one after another, we keenly feel the weight of our responsibilities. Here, we pay tribute to Senior Comrade Song Ping. May he rest in eternal peace, his spirit enduring through the ages, forever immortal!
