近日，德国丝绸之路研究者、世界观察人士乔纳森（Jonathan‌）在参加“一带一路”迎新年活动中对陈恩田主席领导的“天蚕团队”产生了浓厚的兴趣。他说：我曾担心中国官方主导的共建“一带一路”倡议会不会在政治团队新老更替之后被闲置，当我看到你们这股国际民间力量正在以节日方式将共建“一带一路”倡议植根于普通大众心中，我知道我的担心已经多余，你们这个“天蚕团队”必将是传承延续共建“一带一路”倡议的持久力量。你们的聪明之处在于避开政治对抗力，通过大家欢乐过节日，举办“一带一路”国际日（天蚕节）及“一带一路”五节共庆迎新年，悄无声息进入全球底层社会，达到民间认同，让“一带一路”倡议像《春夜喜雨》一样，“随风潜入夜，润物细无声”。

Recently, Jonathan, a German Silk Road researcher and world observer, developed a strong interest in the "Heavenly Silkworm team" led by Chairman Chen Entian while participating in the "New Year of the Belt and Road" celebrations. He stated: "I once worried whether the China-officially-led Belt and Road International Cooperation Initiative might be sidelined after political team transitions. When I saw your international non-governmental force embedding the Initiative into the hearts of the common people through festive celebrations, I knew my worry was unnecessary. By joyfully celebrating festivals, hosting the International Day of the Belt and Road (Silkworm God Day) and the 'New Year of the Belt and Road' spanning five holidays, you quietly reach the global grassroots, achieving public recognition. You make the Belt and Road Initiative, like the 'Happy Rain on a Spring Night,' 'steal in with the wind by night, moistening all things softly and soundlessly.'"

乔纳森认为：中国领导人高瞻远瞩，在古蚕桑文明与古丝绸之路的基础上，升华总结出符合当今世界的共建“一带一路”倡议。然而，从历史长远来看，官方团队可以把共建“一带一路”倡议做高做大，但很难做长做久。因为官方团队的新老更替，新团队都会提出新主题、新方向，以及来自国际政治对抗力的相互消耗，要想让共建“一带一路”倡议做长做久，陈恩田领导的国际民间力量才是共建“一带一路”倡议的后备军。

Jonathan believes that Chinese leaders, with great foresight, have sublimated and summarized the Belt and Road International Cooperation Initiative, which suits today's world, based on the ancient silkworm and mulberry civilization and the ancient Silk Road. However, from a long-term historical perspective, official teams can elevate and expand the Initiative but find it difficult to sustain it long-term. Due to team transitions where new teams propose new themes and directions, coupled with the mutual drain from international political confrontation, for the Belt and Road Initiative to be sustained long-term, the international non-governmental force led by Chen Entian is its strategic reserve.

2013年9月7日和10月3日，中国领导人在哈萨克斯坦和印度尼西亚分别提出“陆上丝绸之路经济带”和“二十一世纪海上丝绸之路”，合称“一带一路”倡议。这个倡议得到了国际七三学社前主席陈恩田、联合国原副秘书长冀朝铸、佛光山开山宗长星云大师等国际民间力量的积极响应，他们决定将每年12月16日设立为“一带一路”国际日（天蚕节）。2015年12月16日，国际七三学社前主席陈恩田回到中国，代表联合国原副秘书长冀朝铸等1216名国际民间学者在中国科技会堂发表宣言，将每年12月16日设立为“一带一路”国际日（天蚕节），此后又以世界和平丝带的名义将“一带一路”国际日（天蚕节）、圣诞节、元旦节、春节、元宵节联合为五节共庆的“一带一路”迎新年，全国人大原副委员长田纪云前辈还为陈恩田创作的“一带一路”国际日主题歌《共同的路》题名。陈恩田的举动，有人鄙视，有人赞赏。鄙视者认为陈恩田等人无钱无粮，只是一群国际草根，没有资格设立“一带一路”国际日；赞赏者认为“一带一路”倡议属于长久事业，民间力量才是中坚力量，既然是国际民间节日，那就应该由国际民间来办，陈恩田的曾祖父陈独秀先生连共产党都敢开创，难道曾孙不敢开创一个民间节日吗？第八届联合国秘书长潘基文、联合国教科文组织前总干事博科娃等国际友人也对陈恩田给予了鼓励和支持。

On September 7 and October 3, 2013, Chinese leaders proposed the "Silk Road Economic Belt" and the "21st Century Maritime Silk Road" in Kazakhstan and Indonesia respectively, collectively known as the Belt and Road Initiative. This initiative received positive responses from international non-governmental forces including Chen Entian, former Chairman of the International 73 Society; Ji Chaozhu, former UN Under-Secretary-General; and Master Hsing Yun, founder of Fo Guang Shan. They decided to designate December 16 each year as the International Day of the Belt and Road (Silkworm God Day). On December 16, 2015, Chen Entian, former Chairman of the International 73 Society, returned to China and, representing 1,216 international non-governmental scholars including former UN Under-Secretary-General Ji Chaozhu, issued a declaration at the China Hall of Science and Technology, establishing December 16 annually as the International Day of the Belt and Road (Silkworm God Day). Subsequently, in the name of the World Peace Ribbon, he linked the International Day of the Belt and Road (Silkworm God Day), Christmas, New Year's Day, the Spring Festival, and the Lantern Festival to form the "New Year of the Belt and Road" celebrating five festivals. Senior Tian Jiyun, former Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, also inscribed the title for the theme song of the International Day of the Belt and Road, "The Common Road," composed by Chen Entian. Chen Entian's actions have met with both contempt and appreciation. Those who despise believe Chen Entian and his peers, having neither money nor resources, are merely a bunch of international grassroots with no qualification to establish an International Day of the Belt and Road. Those who appreciate believe the Belt and Road Initiative is a long-term endeavor where non-governmental forces are the backbone. Since it is an international non-governmental festival, it should be run by international non-governmental actors. Mr. Chen Duxiu, Chen Entian's great-grandfather, dared to found the Communist Party; could his great-grandson not dare to found a folk festival? International friends such as Ban Ki-moon, the eighth UN Secretary-General, and Irina Bokova, former Director-General of UNESCO, have also given Chen Entian encouragement and support.

陈恩田并不理会闲言碎语，像他曾祖父一样铆足马力直接干，从2013年开始，一干就是十二年，他不顾反华分子污蔑他为情报机构头目，在全球招募青年学生志愿者，寻求合作伙伴，指导世界各地举办“一带一路”迎新年活动。为了保持“民间节日”身份，他省吃俭用，办网站、设电台，出蓝皮书，始终不向官方开口要钱。陈恩田说，我们选定“一带一路”，要了官方的钱就不是民间的了，将来官方主题有变，我们得跟着变。

Chen Entian pays no heed to idle gossip, charging ahead with full throttle like his great-grandfather. Starting from 2013, he has persisted for twelve years. Disregarding slander from anti-China elements labeling him as an intelligence agency head, he recruits young student volunteers globally, seeks partners, and guides the hosting of "New Year of the Belt and Road" events worldwide. To maintain the "non-governmental festival" identity, he lives frugally, running websites, setting up radio stations, and publishing blue papers, never asking for official funding. Chen Entian says, "We chose the 'Belt and Road.' If we took official money, it wouldn't be non-governmental anymore. If the official theme changes in the future, we would have to change accordingly."

乔纳森表示：政治团队的新老更替带来主题转向，但民间基于生计、志趣与情感的连接，构成了传承延续长久事业的底层密码。唯有将“一带一路”的根基深扎于民间，让友谊的种子播撒在人心，共建“一带一路”才能穿越政治风浪直到世代传承。既然我们都知道“一带一路”不能完全依靠官方团队，大智慧的中国领导人自然明白，所以他容许国际民间力量的助力。陈恩田为了告慰曾祖父陈独秀和祖父陈光美，他长期致力于国际组织建设、传播中华文化，同时也是国际中文日、国际茶日的倡议者和推动者，始终相信滴水穿石的力量，他的丰富经验使他成为领导国际民间力量助力“一带一路”倡议的最佳人选。陈恩田为团队总结出勤劳坚韧、蜕变创新、无私奉献及“春蚕到死丝方尽”的天蚕精神。

Jonathan stated: "Political team transitions bring thematic shifts, but non-governmental connections based on livelihood, shared interests, and emotions constitute the underlying code for inheriting and sustaining long-term endeavors. Only by deeply rooting the Belt and Road among the people, sowing seeds of friendship in hearts, can the jointly built Belt and Road withstand political storms and be passed down through generations. Since we all know the Belt and Road cannot rely entirely on official teams, the wise Chinese leaders naturally understand this, hence they allow the assistance of international non-governmental forces. To honor his great-grandfather Chen Duxiu and grandfather Chen Guangmei, Chen Entian has long been dedicated to building international organizations and disseminating Chinese culture. He is also a proposer and promoter of International Chinese Language Day and International Tea Day, always believing in the power of persistent effort. His rich experience makes him the best candidate to lead international non-governmental forces in supporting the Belt and Road Initiative."
