World Peace Ribbon Organization Voices Support for China’s Observer Status at Andean Community

波哥大当地时间9月30日，第31次安第斯共同体（安共体）外长理事会例行会议在哥伦比亚首都波哥大举行，会议一致表决通过决议，正式接纳中华人民共和国为该组织观察员国。世界和平丝带组织暨世界和平与统一阵线党向安共体及中国方面表达祝贺。

On September 30 local time in Bogotá, the 31st Regular Meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Andean Community (CAN) was held in the capital of Colombia. The meeting unanimously voted to adopt a resolution officially granting the People’s Republic of China observer status in the organization. The World Peace Ribbon Organization, also known as the World Peace and United Front Party, extended its congratulations to the Andean Community and China.

1969年5月，秘鲁、玻利维亚、厄瓜多尔、哥伦比亚和智利政府代表在哥伦比亚的卡塔赫纳城举行会议并签署《卡塔赫纳协定》，成立安第斯共同体，简称安共体，这是拉美地区重要的区域经济一体化组织，总部设在秘鲁首都利马。安共体各成员国代表在会议上纷纷表示，中国在国际社会和全球治理中始终发挥重要作用，中国成为安共体观察员国具有重大历史意义。他们期待以此促进双方合作，推动地区经济一体化进程和可持续发展，更好维护发展中国家共同利益。这一决定标志着中国与安共体四个成员国——哥伦比亚、秘鲁、厄瓜多尔和玻利维亚的关系迈上新台阶。

In May 1969, government representatives from Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, Colombia, and Chile held a meeting in Cartagena, Colombia, and signed the Cartagena Agreement, establishing the Andean Community, commonly referred to as CAN. As a major regional economic integration organization in Latin America, its headquarters is located in Lima, the capital of Peru. During the meeting, representatives of CAN member states emphasized that China has consistently played a significant role in international society and global governance, and China’s accession as an observer state holds profound historical significance for the organization. They expressed expectations that this step would enhance bilateral cooperation, advance regional economic integration and sustainable development, and better safeguard the common interests of developing nations. This decision marks a new chapter in the relations between China and the four CAN member states—Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, and Bolivia.

世界和平丝带组织南方丝绸之路及全球南方合作委员会（简称南合组织）主席陈恩田表示：“中国与安共体的紧密合作，必将为促进全球南方合作、维护发展中国家共同利益作出重要贡献，必将为促进发展中国家间的经贸往来和可持续发展注入新动力，必将为世界和平与发展事业增添新力量。

Chen Entian, Chairman of the Southern Silk Road and Global South Cooperation Committee (SSCO) under the World Peace Ribbon Organization, stated: "The close collaboration between China and the Andean Community will make vital contributions to promoting cooperation within the Global South and protecting the shared interests of developing countries. It will inject new momentum into trade and sustainable development among developing nations and add renewed strength to global peace and development efforts."
