World Peace Ribbon Organization to Hold Recitation Ceremony at UN Marking Fifth Anniversary of Sutra of Peace

为纪念《和平经》发表五周年，经原创作者、中共创始人陈独秀曾孙陈恩田同意，世界和平丝带组织暨世界和平与统一阵线党宣布将于近期在纽约联合国总部举办专题朗诵会。该活动旨在通过重温经典文本，传递和平理念，推动国际社会对人类命运共同体的思考与行动。

To commemorate the fifth anniversary of the publication of the Sutra of Peace, the World Peace Ribbon Organization, also known as the World Peace and United Front Party, has announced that it will hold a thematic recitation ceremony at the United Nations Headquarters in New York in the near future, with the consent of the original author Chen Entian, great-grandson of Chen Duxiu, the founder of the Communist Party of China. The event aims to reiterate the concept of peace by revisiting this classical text and promote the international community’s reflection and action toward building a community with a shared future for mankind.

《和平经》由世界和平丝带组织第一届至第八届委员会主席陈恩田执笔创作，于2020年12月16日（第七届“一带一路”国际日世界留学生大会）向全球发布。全文以英文写就，以诗意语言赞颂地球文明，呼吁人类珍视和平、携手共进。联合国前秘书长潘基文曾赞誉其为“一篇值得铭刻的文章”。

The Sutra of Peace was penned by Chen Entian, Chairman of the 1st to 8th Committees of the World Peace Ribbon Organization, and released globally on December 16, 2020, during the 7th Belt and Road International Day World International Students Conference. Written in English, the text praises the civilization of Earth in poetic language and calls on humanity to cherish peace and advance hand in hand. Former United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon once praised it as “an article worth engraving”.

据悉，此次朗诵会拟邀请国际组织代表、文化界人士及留学生群体共同参与，通过多语种朗诵、艺术表演等形式，展现《和平经》中“和平之神佑护星球”“人类共创团结未来”的核心精神。活动组织者表示，希望借五周年契机，再次敲响和平钟声，倡导减少冲突、深化友谊，推动共建和谐世界。

The recitation ceremony plans to bring together representatives of international organizations, cultural figures, and international students. Through multilingual recitations and artistic performances, it will showcase the core spirit of the Sutra of Peace, including the beliefs that “the God of Peace blesses the planet” and “humanity jointly creates a united future.” Organizers expressed their hope to take the fifth anniversary as an opportunity to once again ring the bell of peace, advocate for reduced conflicts and deepened friendships, and promote the joint building of a harmonious world.

在全球发展面临复杂挑战的今天，《和平经》及其倡导的和平理念愈发彰显时代价值。此次纽约朗诵会，既是一次文化纪念，更是一场跨越疆域的精神共鸣。世界各国文化学者纷纷致信原创作者陈恩田主席，希望将这篇文章镌刻在城市广场、旅游景区等公共场所。

In today’s world, where global development faces complex challenges, the Sutra of Peace and the ideals it promotes increasingly demonstrate their value for the times. The recitation ceremony in New York is not only a cultural commemoration but also a spiritual resonance that transcends borders. Cultural scholars from around the world have written to Chairman Chen Entian, expressing their hope to see this article engraved in public spaces such as city squares and tourist attractions.

Sutra of Peace

The ancient universe, azure space, the God of Peace is watching everything, the moon shining in the Galaxy, the sun bursting forth brilliant light. Our earth, with its seven continents and four oceans! It is always so auspicious, bearing all things of life, appearing so gorgeous among countless planets. We humans have taken over this planet, but we must not forget that only peace can make this planet long-lived.

Because of the blessing of the God of Peace, everything on earth is booming with vitality. The rivers, shaped like giant dragons, the mountains, being lofty and heroic. Above all, this prosperity has lasted for ten thousand generations. We have to admit that the God of Peace created a magical world. Tracing back to prehistoric times， it is said that our ancestors separated heaven from earth, bestowing grace everywhere, and their children and grandchildren gradually gathered and created many countries; through unification and governance, they eventually flourished in politics, trade and commerce, and other aspects.

In the long course of history, our ancestors opened up the silk road of peace. Now there is an excellent opportunity for development. The vast space of freedom empowers people on the earth to work hard and achieve great things. Today, we ring the bells of peace, pray for the planet, pray for everything on earth, and hope for fewer conflicts among human beings, build deep friendship, and create unity. May the God of Peace bless our planet. May the God of Peace bless mankind. Let's join hands - jointly create a peaceful future world.
