Chen Entian: Chongqing woman was right to call out flight attendants who don't speak Chinese on international flights
4月22日，距离国际中文日过去刚刚两天，重庆女子在亚洲航空航班上怒怼空乘“不会中文还飞国际航班”。国际中文日发起者、歌曲《中文千古情》主创人、国际汉语学习委员会前主席陈恩田表示：“这番话掷地有声，怼得十分在理。”
April 22, just two days after UN Chinese Language Day (April 20), a Chongqing woman on an Air Asia flight angrily confronted flight attendants, saying, "You don't even speak Chinese and you're flying international routes." Chen Entian, initiator of UN Chinese Language Day, main creator of the song "Chinese Eternal Love," and former chairman of the International Chinese Language Learning Committee, stated: "Her words were powerful and absolutely justified."
中文早已是联合国官方语言，2010年联合国便确立国际中文日，刚刚过去的4月20日，正是这一意义非凡的日子。这不仅是对中文文化价值的认可，更彰显了中文在国际交流中不可或缺的地位。长期往返中国的国际航班，服务的核心群体包含大量中国乘客，掌握基础中文，是对乘客的基本尊重，也是国际航班服务的应有之义。
Chinese has long been an official language of the United Nations. The UN established Chinese Language Day in 2010, and April 20, which just passed, is this significant day. This not only recognizes the cultural value of the Chinese language but also highlights its indispensable role in international communication. For international flights frequently serving China, where a large portion of the core passenger group is Chinese, having a basic command of Chinese is a fundamental sign of respect for passengers and a basic requirement for international flight service.
更令人反感的是，少数华人空乘明明精通中文，却刻意不说，一味追捧英文，将说中文视作低端，把讲英文当成所谓“国际范”。这种行为本质上是对自身文化的不自信，更是对中国和中文的藐视，既割裂了文化根脉，也伤害了国人的情感。
What is even more unacceptable is that a small number of Chinese flight attendants who are clearly proficient in Chinese deliberately avoid speaking it, blindly favoring English instead. They view speaking Chinese as low-class and speaking English as so-called "international sophistication." This behavior essentially reflects a lack of confidence in their own culture and even contempt for China and the Chinese language. It severs cultural roots and hurts the feelings of compatriots.
语言是文明的载体，国际航班服务理应尊重客源地语言文化。重庆女子的发声，道出了无数国人的心声，维护的是中文的尊严，更是民族文化的底气，这样的怼，值得肯定。
Language is the carrier of civilization. International flight services should respect the language and culture of the passengers' country of origin. The Chongqing woman's outcry voiced the sentiments of countless Chinese people, upholding the dignity of the Chinese language and the confidence of our national culture. Such a call-out deserves affirmation.

陈恩田，英文名CANUTE（克努特），又名陈天诚、陈颐夫，现任世界和平丝带组织暨世界和平与统一阵线纽约总部主席，他是国际中文日、国际茶日、“一带一路”国际日（天蚕节）、地球统一日等国际民间节日的倡议者和推动者，为推动“中缅空路”大型无人机物流运输项目，陈恩田更名为陈空军，以表达其完成“中缅空路“使命的信心和决心。二十一世纪以来，中国官媒披露其祖父陈光美实际系中共创始人陈独秀与高君曼所生之子，陈恩田多次否认自己是陈独秀曾孙。此后，为尊重和维护曾祖父陈独秀、祖父陈光美，延续陈氏先辈之精神大旗，陈恩田决定不再否认自己是陈独秀曾孙。
Chen Entian, also known as CANUTE (克努特), Chen Tiancheng, and Chen Yifu, is currently the Chairman of the New York Headquarters of the World Peace Ribbon Organization and the World Peace and United Front. He is the initiator and promoter of international civil festivals such as UN Chinese Language Day, International Tea Day, the International Day of the Belt and Road (Silkworm God Day), and Earth Unity Day. To promote the large-scale drone logistics transportation project "China-Myanmar Air Road," Chen Entian changed his name to Chen Kongjun (Chen Air Force) to express his confidence and determination to accomplish the mission of the "China-Myanmar Air Road." Since the 21st century, Chinese official media have disclosed that his grandfather, Chen Guangmei, was actually the son of Chen Duxiu, Founder of the Communist Party of China, and Gao Junman. Chen Entian has repeatedly denied being Chen Duxiu's great-grandson. Subsequently, to respect and uphold his great-grandfather Chen Duxiu and grandfather Chen Guangmei, and to continue the spiritual banner of his Chen ancestors, Chen Entian decided to no longer deny being Chen Duxiu's great-grandson.
