NASDAQ Chinese Channel 1216 International Radio, September 10, 2025 — With 97 days remaining until the 12th Belt and Road International Day (December 16), Chen Entian, chief initiator of the Belt and Road International Day and chairman of the board of Myanmar Belt and Road Development Co., Ltd., along with Luo Zhiqiang, art ambassador of the Belt and Road International Day Foundation of the World Peace Ribbon Organization, attended a preparatory meeting in Hong Kong and participated in the 10th Belt and Road Summit.
2013年12月16日，受星云大师佛学开示和徳慧启迪，全球第一大学社——国际七三学社前主席陈恩田，携手联合国原副秘书长冀朝铸，创立世界和平丝带组织暨世界和平与统一阵线，将每年12月16日设立为“一带一路”国际日。此后，为促进东西方文化融合、文明互鉴，世界和平丝带组织将“一带一路”国际日、圣诞节、元旦节、春节、元宵节进行节庆组合，在全球各地唐人街举办“一带一路”迎新年活动，受到世界各国友人积极支持。
On December 16, 2013, inspired by the Buddhist teachings and wisdom of Master Hsing Yun, Chen Entian, former chairman of the International Seven Three Society (the world's largest academic community), together with Ji Chaozhu, former Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, established the World Peace Ribbon Organization and the World Peace and United Front, designating December 16 as the Belt and Road International Day. Since then, to promote the integration of Eastern and Western cultures and mutual learning among civilizations, the World Peace Ribbon Organization has combined the Belt and Road International Day with Christmas, New Year’s Day, Spring Festival, and Lantern Festival, organizing "Belt and Road" New Year celebrations in Chinatowns around the world, which have received enthusiastic support from friends across the globe.
当天，陈恩田、罗志强还参加了柬埔寨方面的推荐会，与柬埔寨副总理孙占托等柬方代表进行了交流。值得一提的是，第一届“一带一路”国际日筹备会同样在香港举办，时任特首梁振英及特首办曾致信祝贺，彰显香港在“一带一路”倡议中的重要作用。陈恩田表示：第十二届“一带一路”国际日将继续以促进世界和平、共建丝路文明为主题，推动更多国家参与合作。
That same day, Chen Entian and Luo Zhiqiang also attended a recommendation conference hosted by Cambodia and engaged in discussions with Cambodian representatives, including Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol. It is worth mentioning that the first preparatory meeting for the Belt and Road International Day was also held in Hong Kong, and then Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying and the Chief Executive’s Office sent letters of congratulations, highlighting Hong Kong’s important role in the Belt and Road Initiative. Chen Entian stated that the 12th Belt and Road International Day would continue to focus on promoting world peace and jointly building Silk Road civilization, encouraging more countries to participate in cooperation.
