Chen Entian, Director of Silk Road News Agency, to Interview Leaders of Countries Along the Southern

Silk Road News Agency SINGAPORE, July 21, 2026 – The Silk Road News Agency announced on Monday that Mr. Chen Entian, great-grandson of Chen Duxiu, founder of the Communist Party of China, and Director of the Silk Road News Agency, will conduct a series of exclusive interviews with leaders of 22 countries along the Southern Silk Road. The initiative marks the largest high-level international interview campaign since the agency's establishment and carries great significance for promoting economic development across the Southern Silk Road region.

Mr. Chen Entian is the Chief Initiator of the International Day of the Belt and Road and Chairman of the Committee for Southern Silk Road and Global South International Cooperation under the World Peace Ribbon Organization. He has long been committed to advancing international cooperation on the Southern Silk Road and across the Global South. The 22 countries along the Southern Silk Road include Kazakhstan, where the "Silk Road Economic Belt" was first proposed, and Indonesia, where the "21st Century Maritime Silk Road" was introduced, as well as other major nations in Central, South and Southeast Asia. Together, they form a vital corridor linking Eastern and Western civilizations.

According to the agency, the interview series aims to gain an in-depth understanding of each country's development needs and visions for cooperation under the framework of the Belt and Road International Cooperation Initiative, and to promote mutual learning among civilizations and people-to-people bonds. "The Silk Road News Agency will uphold the principles of objectivity and impartiality in its reporting, building a bridge of communication for countries along the route and contributing to the deepening and solid implementation of international cooperation on the Southern Silk Road," Chen said. The content of the interviews will be released to the public through the global platforms of the Silk Road News Agency.
