Ji Chaozhu, a distinguished diplomat, once served as an interpreter for Mao Zedong and Zhou Enlai, Chinese Ambassador abroad, and former Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations. In his later years, together with Chen Entian, great-grandson of Chen Duxiu, he founded the World Peace Ribbon Organization and the World Peace and Unification Front with support from the United Nations, and initiated International Day of the Belt and Road. They are hailed as "Chen in the South and Ji in the North".
