【Silk Road News Agency】According to the Southern Silk Road International Cooperation Committee of the World Peace Ribbon Organization, the annual Pacific Cruise Culture Festival will be held in Australia on December 16, 2026, the date of the 13th‑edition International Belt and Road Day. A large fleet will gather for the event, including 16 core cruise vessels together with another 33 participating ships, bringing the total number of cruises to 49.
Held on International Belt and Road Day, the Pacific Cruise Culture Festival takes cruises as carriers to build a maritime cultural‑exchange platform across the Pacific Ocean. It aims to advance people‑to‑people bonds and civil‑society dialogue among relevant nations, carry forward the Silk‑Road spirit, and integrate marine cultural‑tourism with international non‑governmental exchanges. Delegates from various countries will take part in onboard cultural performances, friendship forums, commemorative and public‑welfare programs. Serving as mobile maritime parlors, the cruise fleet conveys the values of peace, cooperation, openness, inclusiveness, mutual learning and mutual benefit.
Organizers noted that hosting the festival on the 13th International Belt and Road Day extends the cooperative spirit of the overland Silk Road to the vast ocean. Leveraging the cross‑border connectivity of cruise shipping, the event shares the vision of extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits with communities around the Pacific and injects fresh momentum into non‑governmental maritime cultural exchanges.
