KUALA LUMPUR, October 30 — Chen Entian, Chairman of the Silk Road International Guild Alliance and Global Person-in-Charge of the Silk Road New Year Cultural Festival, met with representatives of volunteers from the Malaysia Station of the International Day of the Belt and Road in Kuala Lumpur. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on the comprehensive preparation work for the 13th International Day of the Belt and Road (Silk Road Festival) and the Maritime Silk Road New Year Cultural Festival.
Chen Entian pointed out that the grand opening of the 13th International Day of the Belt and Road (Silk Road Festival) and the Maritime Silk Road New Year Cultural Festival will be ushered in in 47 days. He encouraged all volunteers to seize the critical golden preparation period and fully advance all preparatory work in a solid and orderly manner.
He emphasized that the Maritime Silk Road New Year Cultural Festival covers five major festival nodes, including the Silk Road Festival, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Chinese New Year and the Lantern Festival, featuring a long activity cycle, rich content and diverse forms. The event will include the Silk Road Grand Stage, Maritime Silk Road characteristic commodity exhibitions, Lantern Festival lantern shows and other core sections. While inheriting traditional cultural expression forms, the organizing team should actively innovate content and presentation methods to fully display the inclusive and prosperous spirit of the Maritime Silk Road.
Volunteers from the Malaysia Station expressed their sincere commitment. They stated that they will fully seize the remaining more than 40 days of golden preparation time, promptly establish the International Day of the Belt and Road Themed Lecture Group, rigorously complete all preparation tasks for the 13th International Day of the Belt and Road (Silk Road Festival) and the Maritime Silk Road New Year Cultural Festival, and live up to the expectations of the World Peace Ribbon Organization and Chairman Chen Entian.
The activity adheres to the concepts of non-governmental spontaneity and decentralized linkage, continuously promoting people-to-people connectivity, cultural integration and non-governmental economic and trade exchanges among countries along the Maritime Silk Road.
