(Singapore News，SilkRoadNewsAgency)On September 21, 2026, the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Singapore held a grand reception to celebrate the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. Ms Indranee Rajah, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office, Second Minister for Finance and Second Minister for National Development, attended the reception on behalf of the Singapore Government and delivered a speech.
In her address, Minister Indranee Rajah extended warm congratulations on the 77th anniversary of the founding of China and spoke highly of China’s remarkable development achievements over the past decades. She noted that China and Singapore maintain close high‑level exchanges and keep expanding cooperation across various sectors. She expressed full confidence that the All‑Round High‑Quality Future‑Oriented Partnership between Singapore and China will scale new heights. Ms Indranee Rajah added that Singapore will assume the rotating chairmanship of ASEAN next year. She looks forward to strengthening coordination and practical cooperation with China to jointly advance regional peace, stability and prosperity.
The reception brought together more than 800 distinguished guests, including Singapore Members of Parliament, representatives from government ministries, chambers of commerce, Chinese communities, academic circles, media, cultural and education sectors, diplomatic envoys of various countries stationed in Singapore, as well as representatives of Chinese‑funded institutions and overseas students in Singapore. The festive and warm occasion saw guests celebrating China’s National Day, cherishing Singapore‑China friendship and envisioning bright prospects for bilateral cooperation.
