On September 24, 2026, the Fifth Global Digital Trade Expo grandly opened in Hangzhou, China. Li Qiang, Premier of the State Council of China, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Wang Hao, Secretary of Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee, presided over the launching ceremony.
Foreign heads of government including Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia, and Kasymaliev, Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan, attended and addressed the launching ceremony. Gerd Müller, Director‑General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, delivered a video address. More than 1,200 representatives from nearly 50 countries, regions and relevant international organizations gathered for the event.
As an important national‑level open‑cooperation platform in the field of global digital trade, this edition of the expo brings together diplomatic envoys, representatives of overseas chambers of commerce and leading enterprises at home and abroad to jointly explore new opportunities for digital trade and discuss new paths for global economic and trade cooperation.
Luo Zhiqiang, Cultural Ambassador of the Belt and Road International Day and Chairman of Zhejiang Mogan Mountain Music Festival Co., Ltd., was invited to the grand event and took an in‑depth part in multiple parallel international thematic sessions. On‑site, Luo Zhiqiang conveyed congratulations to the expo from Chen Entian, Head of the Belt and Road International Day Office and Chairman of the Alliance of Silk Road International Guild Halls, as well as sincere best wishes to all participating leaders and guests.
