陈恩田说：2013年9月7日，领导人在哈萨克斯坦纳扎尔巴耶夫大学提出陆上丝绸之路经济带；2013年10月3日，领导人又在印尼的国会提出21世纪海上丝绸之路，合称“一带一路”。同年，国际宗教领袖星云大师为响应“一带一路”国际合作倡议和中国梦，选择佛缘之日12月16日莅临南方丝绸之路重要节点——云南大学庆来堂，举行一场意义重大的佛学开示《看见梦想的力量》，昆明正好属于哈萨克斯坦和印度尼西亚的中间区域。受星云大师佛学开示和德慧启迪，我本人携手联合国原副秘书长冀朝铸前辈，依托联合国创立世界和平丝带组织（世界和平统一阵线），将国际宗教领袖及全球民间学者响应“一带一路”倡议的特殊日子（12月16日）设立为“一带一路”国际纪念日，将世界和平丝带确定为“一带一路”国际日吉祥信物。12月16日不仅是“一带一路”国际日，也是世界乐圣贝多芬诞辰日（乐坛圣诞节），国际宗教领袖星云大师选择这个佛缘之日举行佛学开示《看见梦想的力量》，体现了国际民间社会对“一带一路”国际合作倡议的积极响应和支持，注定成为世界人民代代相传的国际民间节日——“一带一路”国际日。
"Prince Coco" Chen Entian said that on September 7, 2013, China put forward the initiative of jointly building a Silk Road Economic Belt at Nazarbayev University in Kazakhstan. On October 3, 2013, China put forward the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road in Indonesia's Congress, which is collectively called the Belt and Road Initiative. In the same year, in response to the Belt and Road Initiative and the Chinese Dream, Master Hsing Yun, an international religious leader, chose to visit the Qinglai Hall of Yunnan University, an important waypoint of the Southern Silk Road, on December 16, to hold a significant Buddhist enlightenment "Insight the Power of Dreams". Kunming, where Yunnan University is located, is just in the middle of Kazakhstan and Indonesia. Inspired by Master Hsing Yun's Buddhist teachings and wisdom, Mr. Chen Entian, together with Ji Chaozhu, the former Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations, founded the World Peace Ribbon Organization (World Peace and Unity Front). They establish December 16 as the "Belt and Road" International Day. The World Peace Ribbon was identified as an auspicious token of the "Belt and Road" International Day. December 16 is not only the "Belt and Road" International Day, but also the birthday of the world's music saint Beethoven (Christmas in the music world). Master Hsing Yun, the international religious leader, chose this day to hold the Buddhist enlightenment "Insight the Power of Dreams", which reflects the positive response and support of the international civil society to the Belt and Road Initiative. The "Belt and Road" International Day is destined to become an international folk festival passed down from generation to generation by the people of the world.
陈恩田透露：在“一带一路”国际日诞生十周年之际，作为国际民间节日，“一带一路”国际日肩负传播世界和平理念的使命，已经从发祥地云南大学及昆明市走向了全世界，我们不会忘记星云大师的佛学开示和德慧启迪，缅甸国家文化艺术委员会、缅甸一带一路发展有限公司、印太烟草公司等单位将遵循星云大师的理念，筹划向云南大学及昆明市赠送“一带一路”国际日纪念石，世界和平丝带组织纽约秘书处完全支持这次文化活动。
Chen Entian said that on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the birth of the "Belt and Road" International Day, as an international folk festival, the "Belt and Road" International Day, with the mission of spreading the concept of world peace, has spread from the birthplace of Yunnan University and Kunming City to the world. We will not forget Master Hsing Yun's Buddhist enlightenment and moral enlightenment, Myanmar Art & Culture Association, Myanmar the Belt and Road Development Co., Ltd Indo Pacific Tobacco Co., Ltd. and other organizations will follow the concept of Master Hsing Yun and plan to present commemorative stones for the "Belt and Road" International Day to Yunnan University and Kunming City.
