Dear country and people of Myanmar,
I am Chen Entian, a friend from the international community, and I am also the chairman of the 1st to 8th Committee of the World Peace Ribbon Organization, the global promotion institution of the International folk festival the "Belt and Road" International Day. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative and the 10th anniversary of the birth of the Belt and Road International Day. I am invited by the Myanmar Arts and Culture Association to come to Yangon, Myanmar, to participate in the "Peaceful Belt and Road, Thousands of Lanterns Pray for Blessings" ASEAN people celebration of the 10th Belt and Road International Day activities,I declare Myanmar food "MOHINGA" designated as the Belt and Road International Day food, Received your a warm welcome.
Today, I will leave Myanmar on a plane of China Eastern Airlines. On the occasion of my farewell, I deeply feel the paukphaw friendship between China and Myanmar and the ribbon friendship of the Belt and Road. I would like to write a letter of thanks to you to express my gratitude for your support for the Belt and Road Initiative, and for your welcome and participation in the activities of the Belt and Road International Day. I would also like to thank you for your care and assistance to me during my stay in Myanmar.
In the last century, I was born in China and spent my childhood and youth in China. Ten years ago, China's official newspaper People's Daily revealed that my grandfather, Chen Guangmei, was the son of Chen Duxiu and Gao Junman, Just at that time,the general secretary of the Communist Party of China,put forward the Belt and Road Initiative. Soon, there was an outpouring of response and support from international society. As the great-grandson of Chen Duxiu, the main founder of the Communist Party of China, I certainly hope to join hands with global scholars to contribute to the Belt and Road Initiative, so we put forward the Belt and Road International Day, an international folk festival (December 16). We support the Belt and Road Initiative in people-to-people cultural exchange.
At the suggestion of international friends and in order to facilitate communication with the United Nations, we established the Foundation of World Peace Ribbon Organization in the United States and have held activities to promote the Belt and Road International Day around the world for ten years. Over the past decade, the General Secretary of the Communist Party of China has used official platforms to promote cooperation among Belt and Road countries, never said no to the international society's response to the Belt and Road Initiative, never opposed the international society to establish and promote the Belt and Road International Day, if there were, we would have stopped holding the celebrations of the Belt and Road International Day many years ago.
This year, the ASEAN people held a series of activities to celebrate the 10th Belt and Road International Day "Flying Peace Gulls, praying for World Peace", and held a press conference in Kunming, China. We announced the Black-headed(Red beak) Gull as the lucky bird for the Belt and Road International Day and named them the World Peace Gulls. In response to the Belt and Road Initiative, Myanmar Art and Culture Association decided to hold a series of activities of "Peaceful Belt and Road, Thousands of Lanterns Pray for Blessings" to celebrate the 10th Belt and Road International Day in Yangon.
Unexpectedly, on the eve of the event, a regrettable incident occurred on December 15, when unidentified personnel funded by hostile forces, under the banner of personnel of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Myanmar, gave warning to Myanmar officials and people, falsely claiming that "Chen Entian is a Chinese liar who owes a lot of money in the United States, and in the name of international people, the Belt and Road International Day is to deceive world people." The embassy of China in Myanmar is pursuing Chen Entian. The Belt and Road Initiative is unpopular internationally and Italy has withdrawn from the Belt and Road Initiative." these people claimed to create terror and chaos at the Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon where the "Peaceful Belt and Road, Thousands of Lanterns Pray for Blessings" event was held, and to intimidate guests who were preparing to participate in the event.It's ridiculous that these people claim to be undercover agents, Surprisingly, some people believe these lies.
The scheming of these unidentified personnel, in a vain attempt to disturb the "Peaceful Belt and Road, Thousands of Lanterns Pray for Blessings" activities, damage my reputation, to contain the "Belt and Road" Initiative. At this critical moment, the country and people of Myanmar firmly believe in the goodwill released by the Belt and Road Initiative, and firmly believe that Chen Entian, great-grandson of the founder of the Communist Party of China Chen Duxiu, is true and trustworthy. Together, we smashed the scheming of the saboteurs and successfully held the "Peaceful Belt and Road, Thousands of Lanterns Pray for Blessings" activities to celebrate the 10th Belt and Road International Day , which attracted wide attention from ASEAN countries and the international community.
The December 15 incident proves the confidence and determination of the country and people of Myanmar in firmly supporting the Belt and Road Initiative. It also proves that the schemes of hostile forces to deceive, stir up trouble, create contradictions and smear the Belt and Road Initiative and the Belt and Road International Day are foiled.
Finally, on behalf of the World Peace Ribbon Organization, the global promotion organization of the International folk festival of the Belt and Road International Day, I would like to express my sincere respect to you on the "Peaceful Belt and Road, Thousands of Lanterns Pray for Blessings" ASEAN people celebration of the 10th Belt and Road International Day activities in Yangon, and wish the country and people of Myanmar good luck and usher in the sunshine of peace at an early date!
